Annotated Bibliography (idea taken from a prompt by Mary Shannon)
An annotated bibliography is a listing of the sources used in your essay (your initial Annotated Bibliography will include six possible sources, and your final will
include the actual sources which you cite in your essay). The listing should be in MLA citation style (see your Writers Reference), and should include at least 3
sentences of summary, as well as one quote from this source that is helpful to your argument.
Steps:
Find information on your topic
Decide which information is most helpful to your argument
Evaluate the quality of the source
Record the authors name, title, page numbers, etc.
Write a brief summary of the information (three sentences)
Choose one appropriate, direct quote which you will use
Use and properly cite this quote in your essay
